QA Automation Engineer - Onsite Q4, HCM

Automation Framework Ownership
• Design and build a scalable Playwright automation framework from scratch.
• Define automation standards, test structure, and best practices.
• Implement automated test suites for:
o End-to-End (E2E)
o Regression
o Smoke testing
• Apply design patterns such as Page Object Model (POM) and reusable test utilities.
• Ensure test stability, maintainability, and execution efficiency.
CI/CD Integration
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Configure test execution on:
o Pull Requests
o Release branches
o Scheduled runs
• Set up test reporting, logs, and failure diagnostics.
• Collaborate with DevOps to improve pipeline reliability and performance.
Quality Assurance & Delivery
• Define automation strategy aligned with release timelines.
• Ensure test coverage for critical business workflows.
• Analyze test failures and proactively reduce flaky tests.
• Support production releases and post-release validation.

Must-Have
• 7+ years of experience in QA Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Excellent proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript.
• Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Strong understanding of:
o Web application architecture
o RESTful APIs
o Software testing strategies
• Solid experience with Git and code review practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Nice to Have
• Experience with Docker and containerized test execution.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• API automation experience.
• Knowledge of performance or security testing.
• Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders.
